Trenton is the gateway to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Located approximately 10 miles from Acadia National Park, Trenton is home to many lobster pounds, campgrounds, unique shops, and other local attractions.

Trenton is also where the Acadia Welcome Center is located. The Acadia Welcome Center is home to the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce and is the main source for business information for the island and region.

Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport (BHB) is located in Trenton and features daily service to Boston's Logan Airport via US Airways.
Trenton was settled in the 1760's and incorporated in 1789. In its early years Trenton was home to many boatbuilders, farmers, miners, and fishermen.
