Bringing the World's Animals to Maine ......
The Acadia Zoo exhibits 45 species on 15 acres, with Maine natives such as
whitetailed deer, foxes, porcupines, local birds and out-of-stater's favorite
the moose, as well as exotic wildlife including leopards, reindeer, colobus
monkeys and gibbons
An indoor rainforest exhibit, the only one in Maine,features mammals,
reptiles, amphibians and birds from one of the world's most facinating and
endangered ecosystem.
A large and newly rebuilt petting area offers close contact with domestic
mammals and birds.
