Mount Desert Island Marathon Four island communities will host the sixth annual MDI Marathon. A weekend of special events ending with the 26-mile, 385-yard marathon run along a seaside route held during peak fall foliage season. This race is a Boston Marathon qualifier.

Acadia National Park Headquarters, Rte. 233, Eagle Lake Road. Help us protect Acadia’s historic carriage roads by raking leaves to prepare them for winter. Volunteers spend 1/2 –day working in the Park, cleaning carriage roads, clearing ditches to help spring thaws and rains flow through drainages, reducing erosion on the roads.
