4:00-6:30 p.m. Cooking Class-I HATE TO COOK BUT WOULD NOT MIND A FEW THINGS TO DAZZLE MY FIRENDS

This fun cooking class that will teach you things that will fool your friends into thinking you are a master chef. You will learn and taste several impressive meals and will be confident to use them over and over. Learn a few techniques that you might even enjoy. Reservations required. $50 per person.

6:00-8:00 p.m. Chef's Table
As part of this fun filled weekend we would like to invite you to join us at one of our three exclusive Chef's Tables on Friday evening May 20th. The excitement will begin at House Wine at 4:00 p.m. for a wine pairing session with your host, Dawn Lamendola. At House Wine, you will learn the previously undisclosed location of your Exclusive Chef's Table.

At your Chef's Table you will participate in a seven course meal featuring ingredients from all over the state of Maine as well as a wine pairing for each course. There is an Exclusive Chef's Table at one of three of Bar Harbor's finest restaurants; each table is limited to 10 guests so there are only 30 seats available for this evening of culinary adventure. Over the course of the evening you will have many opportunities to meet and ask your chef questions about your meal and the dining scene in Bar Harbor. The cost of this exciting dining experience is $85.00 per person and includes a complimentary commemorative wine glass, a copy of your tasting menu and a copy of one of the delicious recipes you experienced. Saturday, May 21, 2011:

9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Merchants Sidewalk Stroll and Craft Fair
Stroll the streets to get a Taste of what it is that makes them special. The Taste of Bar Harbor Craft Fair, located in the parking lot adjacent to The First, features but is not limited to local crafters & artisans. In case of rain the Craft Fair will be held at the Town of Bar Harbor Municipal Building located on Cottage Street, across from Hannaford Supermarket. 10:00 a.m. Waiter Waitress Races (location TBA).
The Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce is proud to bring back the Waiter Waitress Races. Do you have what it takes to be the fastest? Can you get through the course without spilling a drop? Enter and see if you can earn the name and bragging rights to be 'The Taste of Bar Harbor's Fastest Waiter/Waitress'. Pre-registration and $10 entrance fee per waiter or waitress is required.

Sample food from Bar Harbor and beyond. The first ever Taste of Bar Harbor will feature dozens of the area's finest restaurants, cafés and producers. Bring your family and friends to taste a bit of Bar Harbor. Every vendor will offer a taste for free and you are welcome to purchase more if you wish. See our website for a list of vendors.

Enjoy ice sculpting, cooking and napkin folding demonstrations.
