Holbrook House was one of the first cottages to provide lodging for wealthy Easterners who had discovered the beauty of Mount Desert Island in the late 1800's. Spared from the devastating fire of 1947 by a providential change in the wind, the inn remains a symbol of hospitality which has been the hallmark of Bar Harbor for over 100 years.
A visit to the Holbrook House is a delightful Victorian fantasy with today's
comfort and convenience. This is our home and we would like to share it's
