Why Our Campground? We are within 20 minutes of any location or feature on the island. At the campground entrance is a quarry, framed by lush mountains where hundreds of men once quarried the pink granite of Somes Sound, the only fjord on the East Coast, used in many landmark buildings. The grounds and wooded sites are unique, not too large, or too many, but full of history and folklore that returns you to yesteryear. |
