With 45 miles of carriage roads for you and your family to explore, biking on Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park is a favorite activity of many visitors. Don't have a bike? No problem. Many area bike shops will rent you a bike. The free, clean propane-powered Island Explorer can take you and your bike into the park to experience all that Acadia National Park has to offer.
