The Naturalist's Notebook is a unique shop and exploratorium that combines nature, art, science and a fun sense of curiosity about the world. It's great for kids age 2 to 102. There are children's programs, mind-stretching exhibits and all sorts of intelligent, beautiful, playful items for sale, including more than 1,000 book titles. Last June The Naturalist's Notebook was named of the 50 Things to Do in Maine This Summer by the Bangor Daily News.
The Notebook is just a short drive from Bar Harbor or Northeast Harbor. It's a great rainy-day (or sunny day) place for families or anyone who's even slightly curious about the world and the universe.
