Nova Scotia

Known for maritime, down-home hospitality and friendliness as well as rich history, culture and scenic beauty, Nova Scotia is easily reached by the Cat, ferry service from Bar Harbor to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, leaving Bar Harbor on Mondays through Thursdays, returning to Bar Harbor on Mondays through Wednesdays. See the Cat schedule for more details.

Yarmouth and Acadian Shores region is a rich blend of heritage, culture and community spirit. Over 200 Victorian Sea Captain's homes are located within the town of Yarmouth. Also home of Cape Forchu Lighthouse which rises 23 meters above sea level and whose 2 million candlepower beam can be seen over 30 nautical miles out to sea.

Halifax, Nova Scotia's cosmopolitan hub, offers visitors a blend of metropolitan and historic allure with fine restaurants, world-class symphony and art museums, inviting sidewalk cafes and elegant 18th and 19th century architecture.

Cape Breton Island – one of the world's great destinations (after Bar Harbor, of course). The soaring cliffs and magnificent valleys are a fitting backdrop for the celebration of ancient Celtic culture.
