Schoodic Peninsula
Follow the Schoodic National Scenic Byway through small towns and fishing villages. You will experience the sea in daily life; 10-foot tides, fishermen hauling lobster traps, the last sardine cannery in Maine and delicious fresh food served in local restaurants. Schoodic District of Acadia National Park– experience the untouched coast; 7.2 mile shore loop road will take you through woodland, past rocky shores and out to majestic Schoodic Point, jutting out farther into the open ocean than any other point of rock on the eastern coast.
